So I am obviously still learning my way around etsy and how it works bec/ I just got featured on the etsy HOMEPAGE "3" times. I was checking my facebook, which I hadn't done in awhile (eek!, only more reason for me to get an iPhone - do you hear that honey. tehe.) anyways, my coworkers and hubby kept telling me that my facebook post said I was featured on the etsy "homepage". I was like, what! that can't be right bec/ I didn't post that, I literally had thought someone hacked into my account to spam me. Well, I had fogotten that I had requested etsy to post any news feeds or features on my fb account ... so, that's exactly what it did, and YAY! thanks etsy! even after a bit of panic, i was ecstatic to find out it was real!

i am still searching for my two other homepage features to post (since I missed them as well), how horrible! once i find them i will include them as well. weeee...

ps) just a sidenote:: i realize although features may be VERY exciting for me!, they may not be all that exciting to all of you. So I apologize that my posts have been less exciting lately. i will try my best to beef up my soon-to-come posts. i am going to try to figure out a way to better consolidate my features instead of all these small, random feature posts. if anyone has any suggestions, i'm dying to know! :D thanks for y'alls patience. i'm still learning to improve.

First Show EVER Update! ... after a much needed week to recharge - (sorry lads).

So it's a been a week since my show and i must apologize for the lack of blogs. I've been trying to recuperate and play catch up on some awaited orders. I'm thrilled to say that my first show EVER went very well and was a lot of fun! It included myself and several other talented artists. Thanks to Becca, who planned it all - you Rock girl! Becca is an amazing photographer, she sells her photography on cute, little notecards! not to mention they're super affordable.

Since I enjoyed the show so well, I am really hoping to do some more shows in the future. And, being that this was my first, I really had no idea what to expect ... and being my overdo-er self, I printed way more inventory than needed. So needless to say, if anyone has anyone knows of any future shows that I could be a part of, PLEASE let me know - I'd REALLY loOve it, and I most certainly have the inventory. :> I am currently in the middle of posting my new goods online. I probably have half up so far and the next will hopefully go up this weekend. However, I will be traveling to PA this weekend for my cuz's Bridal shower so that could change, stay tuned!

stocking up...

I've been working hard at preparing for my first spring show, and luckily my Mom was able to hook me up with some great wooden displays from her shop - www.woodscountrydecor.com - which is absolutely fabulous by the way! (If you ever find yourself in Central PA, you MUST stop in. It's one of the most relaxing, coziest places to visit, and the shop is always full of new treasures!) Above is one of the wooden tote/tool box I got from her that I jammed full of napkin sets. It's looking great and now I'm really starting to get excited! But the reality is, I still have a TON more that needs to be done before the sale. eek! So, it's going to be a crazy next 6 days, but I'm sure it will be well worth it!

Oh yeah, and one more thing ...which how can I forget?! Check out my NEW petals of love napkins printed in gold on navy fabric!!! I had printed this design on a small run of tea towels and sold out, so I've reinvented it a second round, only this time with longer stems. Hope you like! ...plenty more to come.

who knew McDonald's napkins could ever be so lovely?

i was asked to screen print some cocktail napkins for a wedding, so i had planned to run a sample print on some left over birthday napkins (that i thought i had in the cupboard) ... but, when i couldn't find them, i had to resort to some McDonald's napkins i found stashed away instead. lol. go figure, right? anyways, to my surprise they actually turned out to be quite lovely! who knew?

t+t's handmade business cards

today's "to-do" list involves making more business cards. unfortunately, i did not get around to posting my first set of business cards, so this is them at their second round. i bought a stamp kit + sales tags and made my own. i've dyed them in beet juice and then stamped them with the kit + the dove stamp that i carved (seen in earlier posts). i love it bec/ every one turns out different from the others ... not to mention, it's affordable + fun. hope you like.

wedding bells are ringing and tea towels are fleeting.

I can tell the wedding season is beginning to kick into full gear when my tea towels are running HOT! These make for the perfect bridal and wedding gift! However, I'm currently in extreme need of making many, many more ASAP! i am currently in search of finding good quality, plain tea towels at wholesale, as sewing and printing has become too much. If anyone has any referrals, PLEASE let me know! I can't even tell you how much I'd appreciate it! thnx!
